In India, Huawei P20 Lite launch date is April 24, 2018. Huawei's P20 series includes three models - The P20 Pro, P20, and P20 Lite. While the P20 Pro and P20 are high-end phones with innovative camera technology, the entry-grade P20 Lite is the odd one out that targets the affordable price segment.

The closest P20 Lite comes to other P20-series phones is in terms of design. The handset is just 7.66mm thick, has a 5.85-inch 19:9 display with Full HD+ resolution and is powered by octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, the same chip that fuels all affordable Honor/Huawei phones including Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7X, and Honor 9i. Huawei is expected to launch 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of P20 Lite in India. The P20 Lite software will be Android-oreo based EMUI.

For photography, the handset includes a 16MP (f/2.2) + 2MP (f/2.4) rear camera and a 16MP front camera. The extra sensor on the rear is used for depth sensing or for portrait mode. Huawei has added a plethora of features and AI to the camera software to keep things interesting. You will get things like AR effects, AI beautifies, and more. 
To fuel all hardware, Huawei P20 Lite houses a 3000mAh battery that can take you through one day of comfortable usage. Other features include Face Unlock, 4G VoLTE, mono speaker, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C charging port, and Fingerprint sensor. All in all, the Huawei P20 Lite has a similar configuration as Honor 9 Lite save for a different display with an iPhone X-like notch. 

The P20 Lite will compete against the likes of Zenfone Max Pro, OPPO F7, Vivo V9, and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. It's biggest strength should be its premium glass body. Huawei P20 India's price is expected to be around 24,000 INR.
