OVERVIEW

Xiaomi Redmi 8 price in India is expected to be Rs. 7,999. Xiaomi Redmi 8 Expected to be launched on Nov 26, 2019. This is 3 GB RAM / 32 GB internal storage base variant of Xiaomi Redmi 8 which is expected to available in Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Emerald Green, Onyx Black color. There is also a 4GB variant which is priced at Rs 8,999. The smartphone offers a 6.22-inch HD screen with Dot notch on top. The display comes protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset is backed by 5000mAh battery which Xiaomi says can last up to 27 days on standby. The phone can deliver up to 12 hours of gameplay, the company claims. Xiaomi Redmi 8 comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. This is paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone packs 32GB and 64GB onboard storage. Users will get a separate microSD card to expand the storage further up to 512GB. The Redmi 8 runs MIUI operating system. At the front, the handset boasts of an 8MP camera for selfies. Xiaomi Redmi 8 comes with a dual AI camera comprising of a 12MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth camera. For security, the device offers both faces unlock and a fingerprint sensor at the back.

DISPLAY

It has a 6.22-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1520x720 pixels) and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There s a capacitive fingerprint reader on the rear, just below the dual-camera setup. The phone uses plastic chassis and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Thanks to P2i coating, the Redmi 8 is resistant to water splashes. It has a pixel density of 270 PPI.

CAMERA

The Xiaomi Redmi 8 has a dual-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 12MP primary sensor with Dual-Pixel PDAF and F2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear-facing camera can also record 1080p 30fps videos. The front-facing camera on the Redmi 8 uses an 8MP sensor with a fixed-focus lens, F2.0 aperture, and 1080p 30fps video recording. The phone can capture images with background blur effects. Both the cameras are capable of clicking decent images and also can record quality videos.

PERFORMANCE

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processing chipset, which has two ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz and six ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.45GHz, is used inside the Redmi 8. The chipset also features Adreno 505 GPU, a 4G LTE integrated modem, and all the connectivity options. The Redmi 8 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage paired to the Snapdragon 439 chipset. It also features a microSD card slot for expanding the storage space. It runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 software UI.

STORAGE, CONNECTIVITY, and BATTERY

Xiaomi Redmi 8 houses a 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be increased up to 512GB by using a memory card. As for the connectivity, the device has a wide range of options like Bluetooth, 4G with VoLTE, etc. Acting as the stamina provider, the device is equipped with a 5,000mAh Li-Po battery, which is pretty good to serve for a day.
